Vultures Episode 5: The Chase Sequence
My first attempt at a proper image sequence and design; comprising of 5 shots taken during the chase scene from Vultures episode 5; The Adventure Of The Hidden Microfilm.
I’m very happy with this for a first attempt and I have a lot of ideas I’d like to try out based on this style. I’d really love to hear feedback on this piece so comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated. Meet BrickMan
Matty Gargan as the brick swinging Pinkerton goon in Vultures episode 5; The Adventure Of The Hidden Microfilm.
Taken on Shoot Day 8 of the ten week shoot for Vultures episodes 5,6 & 7, I’ve revisited the original character portrait and reworked it into a two-shot sequence that I’m much happier with. Meet EyePatch Man
Alan Dawson as the randomer-punching samurai-sword-swinging eye-patch-wearing Pinkerton goon in Vultures episode 5; The Adventure Of The Hidden Microfilm.
Taken just before a hectic day of filming the chase sequence for episode 5, making the most of a natural beam of sunshine whilst we waited for the rest of the cast to arrive. I’ve added some textures. You can see more of my photos from behind the scenes on Vultures here on Flickr and you can read more about shooting the chase scene here on the Oss237.com Blog.
The Gentlemen Detectives of V.P.I
The gentlemen detectives of Vultures Private Investigations; Niall Tennyson (Séan Hackett), Jim Vultour (John Morton) and Dan McGrain (David Thompson). I’ve revisited the three individual character portraits of the lads, doing a bit more work on the finish and I think they work better together than individually.

The Beauty Queen Of Leenane: Ray Dooley’s Swingball Set
Ray Dooley’s parents gave him a swingball set for Christmas in 1979, he only got two oul months play out it before Maureen Folan confiscated it from him and left it to “fade to fecking skitter” on a window sill for ten years.
A conceptual strobist promo shot taken on the Watergate stage, Ray Dooley’s beloved swingball sits on the Beauty Queen script. I’m actually holding my SB800 flash at the back of the auditorium in the Watergate, triggering the flash and camera by remote.
