The first of several promo shots for grindcore death metallers Atrax Mantis, taken in a run-down warehouse where we were shooting the concept artwork for their upcoming E.P ‘Condemned to Hatred’.

We shot the front and back cover for the E.P yesterday, working with Make-up/Special Fx artist Carey Harte. I’m gonna hold off on writing a blog about the shoot until Atrax Mantis release the E.P artwork (which looks awesome).

The first of many promo shots of Chemical Addiction, in the run up to the release of their debut offering ‘The Brian Jones E.P‘.

This was a fairly quick shoot to give the lads some promo shots for press-packs etc, but we’ll be working on more shots and the E.P cover over the coming weeks. Check out the awesome title track off the E.P, ‘Brian Jones’ here.

Carlow Fire Services remove car wrecks from outside I.T Carlow after a crash scene re-enactment, as part of Road Safety Awareness Week 2008. 366 people died on Irish roads last year, thats the equivalent of 1 in 8 students in I.T Carlow.

Just one of my entries for the ‘Life at ITC’ photography competition, the Portal outside IT Carlow.

In the three years I’ve been in the college, the light inside the portal has never worked. This is as close as I’ve gotten to seeing some light shine through it. You can read more about the competition and my entries here on my blog.

On the set of Microfilms production: Vultures episode 1 - A Kris Kringle Konundrum. Microfilms is a new filmmaking collective in Kilkenny operating with the intention to create new short films, music videos, animation and feature films.

The Trappers from Devious Theatre’s production of Trey Parker’s cult classic ‘Cannibal! the Musical‘. I took this one of Eddie, Paddy and Dave just minutes before the curtain raised on our last performance.

Itchy Trigger Finger launch their long-awaited E.P ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’ tonight and this is the center-piece inside. A 180 degree room-span of the lads practicing, made up of over 30 photographs which took me 4 days to create.

The E.P also features my shots on the front and back cover aswell as a collage of over a years work with the band inside. Their new website will also feature 150 of my photogrpahs.

I was asked by 3rd year Public Relations & Communications students in Carlow I.T to do a promo shoot for the launch of a new Calvin Klein store in Kildare. My first attempt at fashion photography and it went very well, with 20 pictures from the shoot appearing in the gallery on the CKIreland website.

The summer is over and its time for those long cold evenings best spent in by the fire, or in my case out in the dark taking photos.

Itchy Trigger Finger began recording on Monday which gave me a chance to finally get frontman Jimmy Trigger standing still for a change.

Still finding my way around KenMc’s Nikon D70 using a very nice 50mm lens. Trying some new angles and approaches to lighting this time. Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
