Fading Out, By Design.

Strobist1The past few weeks have brought a lot of changes to my life; some glow bright while others fade out, by design.

Playing around with natural lighting, I’m trying out different styles for several upcoming shoots. I’m looking forward to staying behind the lens.

Sitting.Waiting.Wishing.jpg
I’m into the final stretch of college, in a few short weeks everything will change. But first I have to get through my thesis, endless assignments and then of course exams. It’s going to be stressful and I know I won’t have much time to be working on pictures, I already have a huge backlog. I find myself constantly doing exactly as the title suggests.

This shot is a test shoot for black & white natural light shots, you can read more about it here on the new Oss237.com Blog.

As a test run for various upcoming projects, I’ve thrown together a studio to get some practice. The one draw-back being the lack of models. If anybody is interesting in getting some alternative portraits done then please let me know.

You can see more of these test shots here. And you can read more about this shoot and find out about modeling for me here on my blog.

UPDATE: I’m delighted to announce that I’ve made it through to the final for ‘Best Photo Blog’ at the Irish Blog Awards 2008.

Another one of those sunglasses reflection shots I love so much.

Taken with KenMc’s Nikon D70 and the 50mm lens. Some deliberate over exposure on  T’s face for the pale blue colour.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I don’t always see the full story. I sometimes only see a small fragment and believe there is nothing more to it.

It’s strange how you can see a different side to everything if you just look for a change.
