Fading Out, By Design.

Strobist1The past few weeks have brought a lot of changes to my life; some glow bright while others fade out, by design.

Experimental night shoot in a new location that I have a lot of plans for. Sb800 on full power, triggered by remote. Lots of new photos coming soon!

Another shot from my second series of shooting fire. It’s actually impossible for me to choose a favourite from this series. Thanks to Ani Payne, Tanya O’Callaghan, Helen Coyle, Mark Downey, Tina Creegan, Johnny Walsh and Eriu Payne for your amazing fire-dancing skills.

You can see the full series of unbelievable fire trails here and you can read more about this shoot here on my blog.

Her Midnight Garden

The summer is over and its time for those long cold evenings best spent in by the fire, or in my case out in the dark taking photos.

UPDATE: This photograph was used on the front cover of the Itchy Trigger Finger E.P ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’.

Taken last summer on a night shoot with the National Youth Film School in Jenkinstown woods. Daw standing in front of one of the redhead lights and then I added the lens flare on his face for the circle of light effect.
