Itchy Trigger Finger launch their long-awaited E.P ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’ tonight and this is the center-piece inside. A 180 degree room-span of the lads practicing, made up of over 30 photographs which took me 4 days to create.
The E.P also features my shots on the front and back cover aswell as a collage of over a years work with the band inside. Their new website will also feature 150 of my photogrpahs.
For more details on the E.P, my work with the band and creating this piece, check out my blog.
A tribute from hell

For all of my shots from this gig check out the Kilkenny Music galleries and you can read about this gig on my blog.

The return of the Summer Sessions

I got my first chance to properly use my new Nikon D80 last night on Daw’s brand new drumkit as Itchy Trigger Finger begin practicing for their tour. Last year I used a D70 for the first time, for a shoot as Daw recorded drum tracks with the Happy Medium.
With my brand new camera and plenty of gigs, practices and recordings to come over the summer, this shot marks the return of my Summer Sessions.
The moment of explosion

Took me a while to get this shot and I’d like to try get this sort of thing again with a bit more light. I got this by using burst mode and a crash zoom once I had my focus point on the strings and hand. Energetic bassist Tommy Moore onstage with Waiting to Explode as they return to the KilkennyMusic scene.
For a whole series of pics from the gig and over 450+ of my gigs shots check out the KilkennyMusic galleries. You can also read about this gig on my daily blog.

UPDATE: This photograph was used on the front cover of the Itchy Trigger Finger E.P ‘The Wrong Side of Misery’.

I shot this one with no flash so I’m quite happy with how it worked out in the spotlight.
