Meet Dan McGrain…
Meet V.P.I detective Dan McGrain, played by David Thompson; he’s a very dapper fellow with his impeccable manners and his old school vernacular. He’s also terrified of women and he sponsors a small African boy called Andrew.

I love the composition here Ross, a very casual approach to the portrait shot, with a great depth of field, it makes me go yum. speaking of yum- the colours are fabulous, a nice contrast of blues and reds with an ever present BROWN tying it all together. The subject itself, innocence and with just a hint of puberty above the lip magnifying the characters struggle to over come his oedipus complex. Those sad blue eyes, remorseful, but there’s hope, as if he’s begging for that childhood laughter he left in the park by accident. We could go on all day about the hat, but suffice to say it literally is the cherry on the cake.
