My second attempts shooting fire, this time with much more success, shooting in a moonlit abbey. Thanks to Ani Payne, Tanya O’Callaghan, Helen Coyle, Mark Downey, Tina Creegan, Johnny Walsh and Eriu Payne for your amazing fire-dancing skills.

You can see the full series of unbelievable fire trails here and you can read more about this shoot here on my blog.

Just wondering, being a slow-shutter picture, how did you get the silouete of the person perfectly still and in focus?

  1. [...] Firstly, cheers to the KenMc for lending me his 50mm lens. Without it I would have been completely screwed to start with and I can’t wait for people to see the results of our photo-shoots over the next few weeks. Thanks to Tanya “ModBot” O’Callaghan for turning into a walking canvas. Thanks to Ani for the endless hard work, the creative genuis, the chats and of course “stabbing me” in the neck (You’re a legend!). [...]
