Summer Sessions

Lots of new “toys” in the house this evening. The arrival of a brand new mixing desk and equipment for KilkennyMusic.com meant the Happy Medium could begin recording this evening giving me a chance to take some pictures of them which will appear on their own site www.mediumsite.com
That, plus a loan of a Nikon D70 off frontman Kenmc meant I could try my hand at some new ideas and styles.
I haven’t done much black and white photography before or even this style but quite enjoyed it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

really love this one….. the light on the metal is great and looks so good. reminds me of a photo a girl in my class did for our final project… not in the mood to sound arty so il just say, great photo, well done!
I think you have an interesting series of shots going here. I dont know much about Nikons at all, and wish I could help with that. I really would like to see more black and white like this. You show alot of talent with you color work, Now what can you do with black and white?
So in effect..to answer your question.
Keep them.
I enjoy the way you play around with depth of field. i have no clue what i am looking out, but that’s probably because i don’t know much about musical equipment. Detail of the metal is key here with how close you are to the subject. very nice, and yea, you should stick with black and white for a bit. are you using film? keep going man.
